Son of a.. I stayed at home today. My hands weren't up to lifting me to school again, so I embed up playing Diablo 2 all day. Man that's an addictive game. I had reached level 19 (about halfway though the second act when the mouse started acting up. I figured that it was a fluke, since it went away, but the symptoms came back, and persisted for a few minutes. After a bit of jiggling around, the pointer disappeared and the keyboard got locked out. Uh oh. The game continued going on, but I couldn't do anything. After a few failed attempts to reacquire control, we pressed to reset button. When the computer rebooted, it couldn't find the mouse. Apparently it had been FUBARed. Sucky. I thought I lost a whole day's.. er, I guess I wouldn't call it work, but it took a whole day. Apparently the game does save periodically, so I didn't lose much. *wipes brow*
Last night, I was taken to girl's seefu to take a look at my leg. Apparently he's well versed in Chinese herbal medicine and whipped up a concoction that should get me back up and walking in no time! Okay, that's an exaggeration three weeks was the quote. I can believe that.
So I've got to put this smelly black paste on my foot every night for the next few nights, and afterward, I have to soak my foot in some sort of herbal bath for a couple of weeks. *looks down at foot* Well, I had just applied the paste for tonight. I don't know what it's doing but it feels awfully warm.
*pokes foot*
Eww! The paste is oozing out!
*wipes finger*
I'll see if I can make it to school tomorrow. I don't want to skip out on too many work days, and I still have to send in that wedding invite reply.
BTW, I have been keeping track of most people's homepages, but I haven't had time (or the will) to comment on any of them recently. How unfortunate. I'll get back to my commenting routine one of these days..
Ahh, so much to do, it seems as if everything is afoot..

I'm chinese and I don't put that much stock in "ancient chinese secret" healing. You might say that since the culture is so old, they might have discovered some herbal remedies unknown to modern science, BUT, I have a feeling the culture's been around so long, the snake-oil salesmen have perfected their scam!

Right, because by then, if you're not dead, you're self-healed enough for the placebo effect to become appreciable. *makes face* *grumbles something about the seductive irrationality of Taoist homeopathy*
