[1:33 PM EDT - Waiting game.]

I finally made it to school it seems. I spent the entire morning waiting for the Puralator guy to show up. I was actually half expecting him to show up late in the afternoon, but I had some laundry to do so it wasn't all of a waste. I also started sifting through the Simarillion. Oh man is that ever a chore. I'm just glad it's so short.

Anyway, I found out that I'll be taking to train to Ottawa. I'm supposed to be leaving from Kitchener at.. 6:44 in the morning. Yahoo. I have no means of transport down there at such an early time in the morning, so I think I'll have to take the taxi. I was thinking of blading down there, but then I realized that I had to carry a week worth of clothes with me as well (which won't happen). Ah well, it shouldn't be too bad right?

Now all I have to do is figure out where the train station is..

Okay, on to e-mail..

[1:57 PM EDT - Platoon.]

Hmm.. I guess I didn't end up doing much last night. I was able to cook up most of the remains of my perishable goods in preparation for my impending week of mayhem.

I did end up watching quite a bit of cable television. I don't know why I bother. I don't usually get anything out of it, and all I do is stare. Actually, 'Platoon' was on last night on the History channel (one of my favorite channels). I didn't think I'd seen 'Platoon' before, but after watching it through once, I realized that I've seen bits and pieces of it here and there. What struck me the most was the background music for most of the tradgic events of the movie. It was the same song as the Homeworld theme. Although they used strings rather than choir voices, it still was pretty powerful.

[2:08 PM EDT - *twitch*]

That's odd. My left bicep is twitching. *looks* It's not painful or anything, but I'm finding it rather disconcerting. I mean, what if my whole arm starts to move involuentarily? Maybe it'll start searching for one of the plastic spoons I have in my cabinet and start cutting my hear out! *gasps*

Yes, I also saw a bit of Prince of Thieves last night.

Hmm. There it goes again. Now it looks like it's sending out a message in Morse code. Uhh.. F.. E.. I think. Ohh, twice it seems. D.. It might be an M.. and an E. Okay, I'm making it up. Does anyone know Morse code around here?

Actually, this incident reminds me of the horrible muscle spasm incident that occured to me two years ago.

It all started off as a sore neck that morning, but I was able to make it to school without any problems. I remember that GTK and weirDo were working here, so it might've been in the fall. Anyway, as the day progressed, the soreness in my neck started to spread to my shoulder, and it got harder and harder to turn my head or raise my arm. By the time mid-afternoon rolled around, the soreness turned into pain and I just couldn't move.

I stayed there in my seat for a long time before I was able to brave the pain and wander down to Health Services to find out what was wrong with me. I didn't have to wait long, and the doctor took a few minutes before he diagnosed me. Muscle spasams he said, and he perscribed me some muscle relaxants and pain killers (Tylanol 3) to help me through it.

I went straight to the campus drugstore to pick up my perscription, and started taking some of the muscle relaxants. I didn't feel much of an effect, nor did I take any of the pain killers. ("What is pain? Pain is good!")

Not much else to say about this story. I recovered fairly quickly afterward. I do remember the first day I was heading back home, trying hard not to turn my neck, when I heard a familiar voice as I passed by the gas station.

Funny how you meet people when you're in an akward situation. (Although my situation wasn't akward, but it must've looked awfully strange.)

Hmm, my bicep's subsided.

Oh yes, while I was talking with weirDo about the song from 'Platoon' I remembered that he sent me a version of Puff Daddy's song (featuring Sting) I'll be Missing You. The beginning of that version of the song played the exact same track as the Homeworld version of the song (with the voices). Actually, does anyone know the name for that piece of music? An even better question would be: Does anyone know what the heck I'm talking about?

[3:07 PM EDT - Card captors.]

Oh yeah, I got to see Card Captors on Saturday while we were waiting form Legend of the Galactic Heroes. Card Captors is the dubbed version of Card Captor Sakura (which we've been showing for the past year now). Some of the voices I have no problems with, although I can't believe that they changed Tomoyo from a sweet, gentle, rich kid, into Matterson: a vallygirl technophile (if such a thing exists). The audience cringed when they heard Kero(-chan)'s voice, and the entire opening scene was changed. The original was more of a.. cutesy opening, while the American version was more geared towards action. I think they wanted to sell Card Captors as an action title as opposed to a magical girl show (which is possibly why they started at episode 8 instead of the first episode).

It should do fine I think, although CCS isn't an action oriented show.. and I'm not sure how the American writers will explain the.. er.. questionable affections that some of the characters have. Ah well. We'll see.

I got a link from girl about how the song Eye of the Tiger came about. Check it out!

[7:41 PM EDT - Beachy.]

Just got back from the beach volleyball game. It was pretty good actually, despite the fact that the field was littered with rocks. It made diving and running somewhat of a chore.

Hmm.. a link from FlyingS led me to sifting through Dan Kim's anime art gallery. Although it's not as well polished as Ian Kim's stuff, he's got quite a bit of talent (although he's got a rather scary fixation on Sakura).

[10:32 PM EDT - Dang.]

It's wet out there. I should've went home when I had the chance. Now I have to carry my blades back. Hmm. Well, I don't think I can do much more than that. Ah well. I should get going now. *yawn*
