Good grief! I go away for a day and people are commenting like crazy! I should get hurt more often!! *looks at foot* Uhh.. on second thought..
As I'm going to try to continue the tradition of answering comments in the comments section, I'll devote this entry to new stuff. (Oh so little of it there is.)
I forgot to mention yesterday that my paste spreading attempts had failed in containing the stuff within the plastic wrap and some of the stuff oozed onto my bed. Ick. Because it has a vaseline base (so it could be stored), it put some nice dark blotches on my bed sheets. I know what I'll be doing when I get healed..
However, amongst the mirth and mayhem (from the comments) there's a bit of good news. I've been able to put some weight on my bad foot and I was able to take some steps yesterday. I needed to disperse the weight by hanging on to stuff (railings, walls, doorknobs, anything else that looks sturdy), but it's a good sign.
It felt awfully weird walking around again. My left leg felt weak, but I doubt my muscles have atrophied that much in a week. I can sort of walk today, but I can't go very far before my heel gets too sore from all the weight being pressed on it. Hopefully I'll be limping around next week! (That's also when I'm supposed to be finished with the paste therapy.)
In other news, I'm at the end of the third act in Diablo 2. I'm getting my butt kicked so I need to go up a few levels before going after the boss again.
