[12:00 PM EDT - No subject.]

Doesn't seem like much is going on these days. Laz and Growly have been pretty quiet lately (although Laz does have a new .plan file).

I should mention that Stripes sent to me a link regarding that -gry riddle that I found a couple of years back. After reading the explanation I believe that the whole riddle makes much more sense. Besides, I could put it to rest now.

I signed up the CTRL-A and Chem Grad Campus Rec teams this afternoon. The lineup wasn't as bad as it was last term (which went on forever) but I still had to wander back to the Chemistry building, steal TG's Watcard, wander back to the PAC, and give back TG's card tomorrow because their computers weren't able to allow one person to be a captain of two teams in the same league. Yeesh.

I bumped into WSCW and JCYH on my way to the PAC (before registration), but I didn't recognize them until after I had passed them in the stairwell (and they hollered my name). They still look the same, but it was funny that I didn't recognize them at first glance. They told me that they'd actually sit in on the CTRL-A meeting, so I didn't feel bad leaving. Speaking of which, the meeting fared a bit better than the registration. Bumped into Jax, who definitely looks the same (which indicates that she liked her co-op work term).

Softball also was not as bad, although we still lost 10-7, at least we weren't quintupled like last time. Another of our female players got injured today as well, which really is quite annoying since we're not allowed to play with less than two women on the field. Hopefully they'll heal fast.

MJO, in his ongoing quest to find happiness, mentioned how my life was pretty good. Oh really?

"Well, lesse, you have a few hobbies, a job, friends, a social life, the one thing you're missing is a girlfriend. What were you hoping for out of life?"

Funny how he mentioned this after commenting how one can be rich and successful by the time he's 35 but have no-one to share it with. That was what was depressing me. Think of it this way, if I were to find a job at this moment, the only people that I would probably meet are my coworkers and friends. Friends are all taken, and who wants to go out with a coworker? Selection is limited and time is short. Going to school has this huge advantage that you meet so many people with so many backgrounds. It lets you find people that you can associate with well and hang around with. It's a little more difficult when you're a Grad since you can't really hang out with the undergrads much, but it's still there.

Anyway, I just don't want to become desperate. I sure hope I'm not already.

Time to go. Getting hungry and I've got a lot of food lying around at home.

Woo-hoo, am I the first person here? This is just soooo exciting... (My lunch hours are pretty damn boring until the half-life server gets going. ;-)

having gotten here, I actually have nothing to say. I'm going to go look at computer prices.

(Anyone tried overclocking a celeron 400 or 450?)
