[1:57 PM EST - Can I decline?]

Whoa. I just got a phone call from some guy who was giving away "free" subscriptions for a number of magazines (he quoted Maclean's, Canadian Geographic, and a few others) and they were promoting those magazines and ads in those magazines. They were calling workplace areas and would offer the deal to the first person who picks up the phone and that was me. Okay. Anyhoo, I wasn't really in the mood to do anything but stare at my computer screen, but I was able to pick up that they would send me those magazines for sixty months, although I would have to pay some sort of marketing fee of $2.50 a week. *thinks* That's not a bad deal, except that I don't read magazines, and at $2.50 a week, that's $125 a year for four years. Five hundred bucks for magazines that I wouldn't be reading anyway. So I asked

"Can I decline?"

And they guy said, "Why yes you can." and so I explained that I wouldn't read them anyway and he thanked me for my time.

And that was that. I want to go to sleep.

That's the same thing I have! Although, I DO read Macleans, and especially love the Cycle Canada ones. Not to mention UMM (a Canadian version of Maxim).
Mind you, you're forced to have Chatelaine!!! *ducks*
