[10:37 PM CCT - Feeling wet, wet, wet.]

Well, here I am updating the page yet again. Not much e-mail this time to clear out, but then again, it's only been a couple of days.

Apparently Lakeridge is open to the public now. One month earlier than last year! Too bad I won't be helping out.

I got up this morning and after breakfast, went to my grandparent's condo for lunch. (Since I had just eaten, I didn't eat that much.) Afterward, we went to my great-grandfather's old house out in the boonies and checked it out. My second great-grandmother is still living there so she showed us around the house. Man is it ever old. I remember only bits and pieces from the last time I visited, but I definitely didn't have any recollection of what the entire house looked like. It's pretty big, and old as snot. The wooden stoves were still being used, and it was like walking into Black Creek Pioneer village, except that these were real people, not actors.

We didn't hang around there for very long, but I took a number of photographs to jog my memory when I get back across the pond.

Afterward, we came back for dinner and now I'm here. Not much going on I guess.

I finished reading "Fifth Business" (which is a really good book BTW, I want to finish the rest of the Deptford trilogy now) and started reading that psycho book. I forgot the name and I'm too lazy to look for it.

I'm not sure what the plan is for the nex.. ARGH! That's a loud ring! *waits for ringing to stop*

Good lord! They're trying to wake up the dead with that phone ring!

Anyhoo, that should be enough for today. We'll see what tomorrow brings.

[Monday, December 2, 2002: Ripped banks.]

I forgot to mention that on the way back from my great-grandfather's place, we passed by a crowd of schoolchildren who were just let out of school. As I passed by the vanguard, they started to point and laugh at my pants. This caused a ripple effect and the wave of laughter moved through the column of kids. It was so ridiculous that I couldn't help but to laugh myself.

Oh. There are banks in China. What got my attention that there are a number of branches for a couple of big name looking banks in the area. The names are: The Bank of China, The Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, The Agricultural Bank of China, The China Construction Bank. There are others, but I found these interesting because they seemed to focus on certain sectors of the economy. Does the Agricultural Bank only give and take money from farmers?
