We went to see some relatives in Jiangmen. We took the bus for this trip, and saw lots of farms, other towns and I even saw some traffic lights that were horizontal like those used in Quebec.
We were supposed to meet at a restaurant, but we couldn't find them inside so we hung around in the store below. I ended up watching the end of "Collateral Damage" (Dubbed in English with Chinese subtitles.)
We eventually found them (or they found us) and I got to meet some aunts and uncles that I've never met before. One of my cousins is so amazingly pretty! Holy crap! I was actually in shock because I didn't think I'd see anyone that attractive here. Why didn't anyone tell me about this one? Oh yeah, cousin. Crap. Too bad she took off after a few minutes. We never got a picture! *shakes fist*
After lunch, we took a taxi ride through the part of town where my mom grew up. It was raining so we didn't want to hang around for very long. That was too bad.
The ride back on the bus was like a roller coaster ride. There was a lot of construction and it was very dark despite the number of streetlights. Actually it was dark because none of the streetlights were working!
I saw a lot of red soil/clay next to the highway and I noticed that drivers for the larger vehicles used preventative honking, and don't signal that much (nor check their blind spots).
After we got back, we went out for dinner and I saw some kid pour some unwanted sauce onto the window sill. Eww, no wonder why restaurants here are always so grimey. When the adults saw him doing it (the second time) they scolded him, but that damage was already done..
