[10:41 PM EDT - I've got a head ache.]

I'm not feeling so good. I've been riding a lot this past weekend and I haven't got a lot of sleep. Sleep. Sounds good.

[Monday, July 3, 2006: Off to Waterloo.]

The plan was for me to head off to Waterloo to meet up with Growly and GT to discuss plans for the wedding. The ride out was interesting. It was hot and despite the high winds (I was going against the wind), I still felt really hot. I guess the full leathers are good at insulating the rider. Good for warm days. Not so good for hot ones.

I arrived early, so I headed down to Kitchener to visit Cat, since I hadn't seen her for a year or so. We chatted for a bit and got caught up before I headed back to Growly's place. I got a tour of the house, and the three of us tried to get some ideas for what to do for the wedding.

I ended up eating dinner (butter chicken!) there before heading back. I was a little worried about the weather since I knew there were thunder showers in the forecast for the afternoon and evening. I sure didn't want to be caught outside in one of those.

The ride back was tough. There were areas which had been rained on, but fortunately it wasn't that recent so the roads were dry. I rode through warm areas and cold areas and the transition between those were usually quite abrupt, so I suffered through some temperature swings. Then there were the bugs. Although the morning was pretty clear, the bugs came out at night and my helmet and face shield was peppered with the dead and dying insectoids. One large bug landed right in my field of view and stuck there for a few seconds before slowly sliding off the visor and into the night. (Leaving a nice streak I might add.)

Then there was the traffic.. but I'm pretty sure I mentioned how bad it was on that stretch of highway before..

I did manage to make it back home without getting myself killed, and I even got to fill up the tank at a decent price.

It's too bad I don't remember all that much though.
