A number of the brackets on my teeth have pegs on them. At the beginning, I found them quite annoying as they would constantly poke at the inside of my cheek and cause sores to form around them. I think my mouth has since gotten used to them as I haven't had any major cuts recently and I've pretty much forgotten about them.
This morning I found out what they're used for.
When I got my braces adjusted, the optometrist happily informed me that I was ready to start using elastics. Oh bliss, oh joy. After my teeth started righting, my alignment started to go awry so my bite is a bit off. Thus the elastics. I was given a whole supply of light elastics which have not been overly bothersome (yet). At least it has not affected my speech. Either that or nobody is willing to bring attention to it.
In any case, I'll be wearing these elastics for the next month, and I have a funny feeling that they will just get stronger over time..

I had to take the elastics off for lunch, but when I put them back in, they felt weird. I'm not sure if I installed them correctly. It was annoying enough to put them in too!

I had a whole entry in my head, but it's all since disappeared into the ether now. Oh well.
I went to my parent's place for a supply run and to get some things in motion. Badminton was okay. There were a lot of people hanging around from the previous session during ours, but I didn't have too many complaints. Some of the girls were cute.
I ended up driving J home. It was more-or-less on the way, and what surprised me was that he was living in my old neighborhood! I passed by our old house and marveled as to how much the trees had grown in the area. I should go back and just wander around some day (maybe on my bike).
