[2:47 PM EDT - What's that smell?]

I didn't smell it at first, probably because of my location in the office, but this awful stench began to permeate throughout the office and floor. It smelt like burning plastic and it started to really stink up the place around lunch time.

After an hour or so, we were told to turn off our electronic equipment. Apparently one of the transformers was fried and they needed to replace it. It's back up now, but they haven't replaced the transformer yet, once they get the new one, we'll be sent home.

[3:49 PM EDT - Holy communication Batman!]

Well, I got some well wishes from Squishy, and then I got contacted by 2046-LM for a reference, and then by Graduate for some broomball news! All completely unrelated, but all at the same time..

[5:48 PM EDT - Feeling a bit dim.]

I wanted to get dimmers for my place so that I can control the amount of light in the unit as well as my electricity usage, but since I've replaced most of my bulbs with fluorescent lighting, this has become an impracticality. But apparently there is technology to allow individual control of each lighting fixture in a building, which is useful for office towers, but not so useful for my case.

[9:33 PM EDT - Registered scat.]

I nearly laughed out loud during lunch. While I was trying to avoid the fumes that were coming in from the ventilation, I brought my lunch to the room next to ours where the smell had not permeated. On one of the filing cabinets was a diagram with a long name for some process. This process was registered under the acronym: SCAT®.

I showed it to Derelict who found it amusing as well, but when I mentioned it to other people in the office, only RM knew what the word meant.
