[11:20 AM EDT - High resolution is good.]

I got the new card working now that I've got the correct drivers for it. I still feel silly for not seeing the obvious and wasting a day because of it!

[11:53 AM EDT - Passing the sniff test.]

Oh wow! I threw my elbow pads into the wash last night because they were reeking really bad, and Febreze just wasn't cutting it. I had originally not wanted to wash them because the washer at my parent's place is a top loader and I was worried that the straps might get caught in the machine, but my washer here is a side loader so I shouldn't have any problems with things getting caught, so I threw them in with the rest of my laundry.

It smells so much better! Well, that is, it doesn't smell at all! I should wash them regularly now to keep it that way!

[12:33 PM EDT - Another wedding..]

I've been invited out to another wedding. This time by the groom (rather than a guest), so I guess this year will have quite a number of weddings to attend? (It's CC's wedding.)

[Tuesday, June 27, 2006: Riding reception.]

I went out to lunch with Durka and Windelynn. I didn't have anything else to do so I went home to do a bit of cleaning up and finding suit for the reception.

The plan was to meet up with Windelynn and ride down to the restaurant. I would ride in a suit and she would ride in a dress, but after thinking about it, I decided to turf the idea and threw my slacks, shoes and shirt into a bag for later use. She was told that it was located on a street named Milton off of Finch between Kennedy and Birchmount.

After riding around for ten minutes, we realized that both pieces of information were wrong, but at least we got the name of the restaurant so we were able to find it eventually. We got changed and waited around for a way in (i.e. the invites).

I had planned to sit in and eat and leave, but I was so surprised when we walked in (late) and were lead to the table next to the head table! Our motley crew had to walk past the entire wedding entourage and having JW in a T-shirt and jeans didn't help. (But having a blazer makes all the difference. So he says.)

In any case, people got drunk pretty quick, excluding the riders and driver. It was entertaining to watch though as our group was probably the loudest group in the area, singing along with the muzak and polka tunes and generally making fun of everyone. There was this great Windelynn imitation that JW had when she avoided the bouquet. That was probably the highlight.

After the dinner, Windelynn and I changed outside (I didn't switch pants though) and we headed home. She took off pretty quick, and while I was trying to catch up, I hit two bumps, both of which lifted me off the seat and pegs. Had I not been holding on to the bars, I could have been knocked off!

That was certainly a freaky feeling. But I still managed to make it home in one piece. My time ain't up yet.
