[9:27 AM EDT - Taping up my eyelids.]

I'm tired. Saturday night's hijinks are catching up to me and I'm going to have to crash early tonight. (That was a really bad - and unintentional - pun.)

[9:32 AM EDT - Driving Conditions: Early, but still same time.]

I got out of the condo early this morning for some reason, but traffic on the highway was really bad. I wanted to go easy on the car after the accident so I stayed in the collector lanes, which was quite serendipitous as the express intersection was clogged all the way back, while the collector entrance was only semi-slow.

Still, it took me the better part of an hour to make it to work, and all of that because some guy had stalled in the passing lane. There was no shoulder as construction had narrowed the highway, and by the time I had gotten there, there was a fire truck, but no police, ambulance, or tow truck. The driver looked alright, and there was no obvious damage, nor other car present.

The only thing I could think of was a possible heart attack?

[10:10 AM EDT - Chain Links: A new type of ABS.]

GWG passed along yet another car related video link. This time it's a crazy braking method.

I'm pretty sure this spelling mistake is a joke.

[1:11 PM EDT - Glass memory.]

Ah ha! I remember that memory item that I had forgotten on Sunday. While I was washing my dishes (in the dishwasher) on Thursday, I heard an explosion that sounded like a piece of glassware shattering. The sound came from the kitchen area, so I thought that either something had fallen off the counter and shattered, or something in the dishwasher blew up.

Now the sound was very clear, so I didn't think it was the dishwasher (the noise would have been muffled by the dishwasher itself), so I had initially thought that something dropped off the counter. However, after a quick search, I couldn't find any glass. Indeed, after waiting for my dishes to finish, I found no evidence of an explosion in the dishwasher as well (all glassware accounted for)!

I was left with a few options. Perhaps I started to hear things. I won't discount that possibility, but I think a more likely reason is that someone in the unit above me dropped a glass plate or cup which shattered on the tile floor. I have heard sharp noises like that before, and always from the kitchen area. The sound this time was so loud that I could have sworn that it was from my kitchen, but I guess some types of sound travel better than others?

[1:31 PM EDT - Adding zero shouldn't make a difference..]

I was reheating some noodles for lunch this afternoon so I set the microwave for four minutes and thirty seconds.

I was curious (and a little worried) as to why the machine wasn't beeping after a while, so I went to check up on it. (I was also getting really hungry.)

Well, I got to the microwave and noticed that the timer was reading 27:37! I quickly stopped the microwave and checked the food. I guess I was pretty lucky that those noodles had a lot of water before, and the exposed noodles were dried to a crisp, and the hot dogs looked like they were under the sun a bit too long.

For the most part, it's not too bad, but I've got a bit of chewing to do.

[10:25 PM EDT - High speeds not recommended.]

I drove back home on the highway, and noticed that the car started to shake at highway speeds. I'm pretty sure that the alignment is shot, and I'm a little worried that there may be more damage to the wheels/axles/suspension than I could see. But I guess I'll have to have it checked out soon then?
