[9:21 AM EDT - Dream Sequence: Glass Ghosts.]

I've had quite a number of dreams in the past few weeks, but I haven't had the compulsion to write any of them down. I figured that I should get one down now before I forget. It was a long sequence this morning, but I'll only talk about two scenes.

In the first scene, I'm inside a house of some sort that's set up as a large laboratory. There's one large room with wooden shutters and tons of glassware stacked on the dividers that surrounded the room. I had just come out of some other part of the house and had already looked around. I don't think I was doing anything in particular, but I started to hear popping sounds.

I looked down the hall where the laboratory was and I saw the glassware lined up on the wall explode one at a time; sending shards of glass flying through the air and scattering pieces all over the floor. I was a little worried that I might get hit by a piece of glass when the next explosion embedded a small sliver of glass into my arm. It was about the size of a pebble, and it stung. However, I was in no position to remove it, as the air was filled with flying glass fragments. I quickly dove into another room, but did not find any respite as the explosions continued and the shards ricocheted off the walls and into my sanctuary.

I quickly closed all the shutters and doors, and the amount of glass flying around in the room diminished, although it did not stop all of it. I was quite amazed as to how far the glass could penetrate.

After a few minutes, the explosions stopped, and I was able to assess my wounds. I popped the sliver out of my arm and made sure I didn't have any more pieces sticking into me. The area was a mess: The floor was covered with broken glass and all of the glassware was destroyed. I was quite lucky that I wasn't more seriously injured.

Afterward, there was some sort of tour of the damage, and we were about to recreate the accident, but I found myself somewhere else.

I was in a large courtyard with a fountain in the middle. Our entire group was handed rifles to defend ourselves from the impending attack. There was one kid who was a lure for the ghosts, and as we were getting ready with our equipment, two small grey ghosts appeared along the upper walkway. They sat there, watching us. The teacher told me to take out those two ghosts, so I aimed my rifle and sent a bullet towards each one. The ghosts exploded with a small popping sound as if I had struck a balloon. I was happy with my accomplishment, but quickly sobered up when more ghosts appeared.

I was aiming my rifle at the lead ghost (who was heading towards the kid) when a torrent of ghosts suddenly flooded into the courtyard! My throughts changed from fight to flight, and we began to work our way out of the courtyard before the area was engulfed. As we were retreating, I took some pot shots at the cloud of spirits, filling the air with ghost fragments and emptying my magazine before I rushed off with the rest of the group.
