[9:12 AM EST - Mostly ready.]

Oops. It seems as if the new turn came in this morning. I could try playing it before I go tonight, but then things will be very tight..

[10:41 AM EST - Red running.]

I nearly ran a red light the other day. On my way back from broomball, I wasn't really paying attention to the road and didn't notice the red light until I was nearly on top of it! Phew! Lucky..

[12:51 PM EST - No going back.]

I had something strange happen when I was in IE. The backspace key was disabled, but only when being pressed on it's own. If I used CTRL-BkSp, it worked (how CTRL-BkSp would work). Strange. But once I left the page, everything went back to normal. Unfortunately, I forgot which page it was.. *hangs head*

[Monday, April 5, 2004: Vermont ho!]

I got home at about the usual time. I figured that I had just enough time to rush my game of VGA Planets and send it off before I headed to DE's place. Let's just say that it was very close.

Last night, I has asked if Pezboy had my boots, since I couldn't seem to find them. After a bit of searching around downstairs, I remembered that they were left in the basement to get cleaned up a little. Phew! *wipes brow*

I made it to DE's place in good time. The plan was for CM to pick us up and he'd drive us in his car. Just as I rang the doorbell, CM drove up. It was an amazing coincidence!

After parking my car in the garage, and throwing our stuff into the car, we found out that K wouldn't be joining us since she was sick. That meant that we had tons of space in the car. CM wanted to drive, so we let him go for it. Did he ever!

I think we averaged around 120 kph on the way to Cornwall, and that was only because we were slowed down by the massive number of trucks on the way there! Traffic was pretty bad, and it was raining hard off an on (mostly on).

I would try to take a nap during the ride, but every now and then, another truck would swerve near us, and I would awake with a start as the car lurched out of the way. (It's not a great sight to wake up to a large trailer approaching from the side at a very high rate of speed.)

In any case, there were three incidents that I remembered. The first occured fairly early on. We had passed a lot of cars, until CM spoted a cop driving slowly, so he slowed down to stay behind the cop. However, all the other cars on the highway were also following suit. None dared to pass the police cruiser, and we were at the head of the pack. It's actually quite entertaining seeing a whole group of cars slowly moving along the highway just because the car in front was a cop car.

Anyway, he eventually turned on his lights to direct traffic away from a stalled recreational vehicle, so we sped on along.

The second incident occured a little later when a car started ghosting us. CM thought that it was a cop so he slowed down, but the other car slowed down with us. We slowed down even more and eventually pulled into the cruising lane but the other car refused to come any closer. This really freaked CM out since he was waiting for the lights to turn on and the cop to pull us over. Eventually, we went so slowly that the car started pulling up, and when it got next to us..

It was a PT Cruiser. We decided to leave it in the dust.

The third incident was pretty short. We were cruising down the passing lane when a car suddenly appeared behind us and closed at an extremely fast pace. We got out of the way just in time to see the other car blow by us. Judging from our speed and the relative speed of the other car, we were guessing that that guy was cruising at around 170 kph.

Someone was definitely in a rush.

Oh yeah, I was napping when CM shouted out that he thought that he had just passed by Pezboy and JM. I didn't bother asking to slow down to double check, but when we stopped for dinner, Pezboy drove up and sure enough, it was them whom we had passed. We eventually convoyed the rest of the way to the resort with them, but I found that to be quite interesting. (Since they left forty-five minutes before we did.)
