[1:02 PM EST - Cursed by the ringer again!]

Argh! I think I'll turn off that ringer. It kept interrupting my sleep this morning. I couldn't fall asleep last night so I ended up getting very little sleep yet again. *grumbles*

At least hockey last night was okay. I played okay, except I had a few defensive lapses.

Okay, I gotta go patrol now. Then there's a party to attend.

[Monday, December 16, 2002: Snow is the constant.]

Whoa, I've been busy today.

I got up late because I didn't get much sleep last night. So I didn't have time to eat before I went to patrol this afternoon. Patrol went fairly well actually. It wasn't all too exciting, and it was wet snowing, but the weather turned a tad bit colder so that the wet snow actually became snow, and it was quite a pretty picture once the sun went down. Looking up into the sky and watching the illuminated snowflakes fall towards me (I was wearing goggles) was quite a sight to behold. I would've stood there longer, but I think people would've started staring at me, and I was in jacket. All I had to eat was a cup of hot chocolate, but I didn't want to spend the oodles of cash on the tiny bit of food that I would've gotten at the cafe.

I got back in fairly good time despite the weather. It was starting to snow fairly heavilly and out in the countryside, the combination of the heavy snow and darkness was a dangerous combination (when added to my naturally reckless driving). High beams were useless since there was also a light fog, but amazingly enough, I wasn't scared about any of that stuff.

I got back in one piece and wanted to go to ASH's ninjastars party. I had to stop by the restaurant from last night because I ended up taking the merchant's copy of the reciept (which I had signed) instead of the customer copy. *blushes* I think I've done this twice so far? Too bad the waitress wasn't actually there, she was kind of cute.

I had a little trouble finding the place. The directions I was given were from taking public transit, but I was driving to the location. I figured that it would be pretty easy to find. All I need to do is find the street and then find the building. If worse comes to worse, I could look for a map. Well, I didn't actually print out the directions, but I wrote down the address and went on my way. I found a good parking spot and starting looking around for the building. There were some obvious choices but I just couldn't find the street. Eventually, I gave up and went into the station to look for a map. Subway stations here are great since they usually supply a map of the local area for anyone who wants to know what's in the area. I was able to find one of these maps and.. the street wasn't on the map. *jaw drops* What the heck? It should be like.. right there. There. Somewhere. *scratches head* Now what was I to do?

I figured that it was a good time to ask for directions so I found my way to a shop where go got some chocolates and asked one of the tellers if she knew where the building was. She recognized it immediately and pointed me in the right direction. Apparently it was right next door. *smacks head*

The party went fairly well. There were less people there than I had anticipated, but it made for a fairly cozy party. We played Bladerdash and talked a bit. (And I ate quite a bit too.)
