[9:56 AM EST - Upside down.]

Well, apparently I don't know much about traditions. The symbol on Google is supposed to be upside down. Don't ask me why, and don't ask girl why. (She's the one who told me.)

It's upside-down because "upside-down" sounds similar to "arrival" in Chinese. So if you put up words like: fortune and spring upside, you're announcing the arrival of spring and fortune.

In addition to both words sounding the same, the actual words are also off by a couple strokes.
