Okay, I still have not come up with a reason why my system keeps going down every once in a while. My first thought is that I have faulty hardware, since the errors occur sporadically. Namely, that I have faulty memory. Unfortunately, I have the boot sequence checking my memory already and everything seems to check out.
Now I'm trying to get memtest working, but I found out that the CD-ROM on my server is not bootable, and there's no floppy drive on my main machine so I can't create a floppy from there. I don't think I have any USB ports on the server..
What a pain.
