[12:39 PM EDT - I forgot to pick up the phone..]

I ended up using my cell phone last night and put it somewhere where I usually don't leave it, so when I left for work, I forgot to bring it with me. Oh well.

[3:13 PM EDT - Rock climbing anyone?]

I'm going to check out Cedar Climbing later tonight. Then we're going to have wings at Shoeless Joe's.

[10:57 PM EDT - Getting some money back.]

Ah, I got a credit for my car insurance. They stated that it was for a correction for an error, but I had cancelled the insurance on my beater a couple of months back, and I believe that this would've been the amount that I would've been credited. It isn't much, but it's still something right?

[Wednesday, April 27, 2005: These fingers were made for gripping.]

Maverick, Derelict, 2046-LM, and I went out rock climbing after work. I was planning to get some sort of beginner package to learn how to do this sort of stuff properly.

Actually, there should have been more participants, but a few baled at the last minute. (Like TT and MS.)

Anyway, when I got there, I was informed that there was nobody else climbing inside so we had the whole place to ourselves. The room was fairly small, but being a neophyte, it didn't matter to me since I had never done any of this stuff before. The only person who was there was an employee who gave us some papers to sign and took our money.

Being the beginner of the bunch, I had to be shown how the harness was put on, and was eventually shown how to tie myself in and use the belaying device. It was quite fun actually. I just started climbing since I didn't know any techniques or any tricks, so I ended up using my arms and fingers a lot rather than my legs. I couldn't get up most of the walls, so I'll keep working at it here before going to a bigger climbing gym.

We all went down to have some wings for dinner before heading home.
