Again, I was out at the client site today. I didn't get everything as completed as I wanted to, but I had proven that it could work. Just that some things won't function because of conflicts between the two versions (since they wanted both to be run simultaneously during the changeover). Well, it's not like they're going to lose any functionality. I may add this to our code base as well actually..
I spent some time running around to get some things ready for the party, namely the gifts. I picked some up during lunch (since we went out to Swiss Chalet), and then after work, before heading to the bar.
The turnout was basically has I had expected. I didn't get too many responses, and the ones that did respond were mostly regrets. We did have people turn out though, and even though there weren't that many people, the place still felt fullish. The food was okay, and I had a good time. Awards were handed out, and I even got a "Best Patrol Leader of the year" award. (Yes, it was a made up award, but much appreciated.)
I stayed until the end, which wasn't as late as I expected that it might be, but then again, there weren't that many of us and it was a Friday night..
