So I've got the day off today. I should be getting some things ready before I go (I haven't even started packing yet).

Hmm, I've got a problem. I don't have a ride. I need to get to the meeting point, as well as getting back from there, but I have no means of transport. Time to make some calls..
I decided to take the bus down to DE's parents place after I dropped off my car since I didn't have any other means to get down to the house. Fortunately, my dad ended up coming home, so I was able to bum a ride off of him. Unfortunately, we waited at the house for half an hour before finding out that our ride would be an hour and a half late! (No need to rush.)
At least I was able to deposit that cheque.
The ride down was fairly uneventful. I slept for most of the journey as I didn't need to drive. (And I didn't know where I was going.)
There were a couple of interesting parts though: Tailing a cop at 145 kph (I was sleeping through that one), driving in pea soup fog - where you couldn't see more than one road dash in front, and catching up to JM's and KB's car (they had left much earlier than us).
We ended up getting stopped by border patrol after we had crossed the border. They seemed to be looking for someone, but we didn't fit the bill.
