On the way to the party, I got onto the highway and then hit a sudden traffic jam. I had no idea what had happened since all the vehicles in front of me were larger than me. But when the cars cleared away, I saw that there was a multiple car accident so I pulled over to see if I could help.
The first guy I saw came up to me and I told him that I was trained in first aid and if he needed help. Then he asked me,
"Are you a cop?"
Uhh.. no. I reitterated that I was trained in first aid, and he asked me if I could help him get out of there. I said "Sorry
" and went to see if there was anyone who was hurt. There was a couple from the second car, but they looked okay. I went to the third car and it was full of girls. The driver told me that one of her passengers was hurt, but that she was being tended by someone trained in first aid. So I wandered over to see if I could help, but it didn't seem serious.
I hung around long enough for one of the tow truck drivers to tell us that the driver from the first car was running away from the accident site. He pointed to a dark figure fleeing up the off ramp near the accident and all I could do was shake my head.
The fire truck arrived and I decided that it was time for me to go. There wasn't anything else for me to do.
