[10:05 AM EST - Dream Sequence: Short trip.]

I didn't have a very memorable dream this morning, although they did involve someone I haven't seen in a while. The only part I remembered was sitting in a room with the two of them and trying to determine where to go for vacation. They turned to me to ask if I had any suggestions and I came up blank..

[10:08 AM EST - Concentrate.]

Okay, I should write down the things I need to do in the next few days before I forget about them and it comes and bites me in the butt.

[10:21 AM EST - A clean experiment.]

I'm running a little experiment right now to see if something is the cause.

[10:25 AM EST - Checking referrals.]

Hey, that referral check in the script actually does work! I noticed an error just now and didn't realize that this error has been popping up occasionally in the past couple of years.

[10:31 AM EST - Postponed spelling.]

I might use Vim to spell check my HTML. (I guess I got sidetracked after my last foray into cleaning up my site.)

[12:50 PM EST - Fork infection.]

Hmm, I'm running out of forks at the office. I keep forgetting to bring one for lunch and so I've been going through my cache of plastic utensils. I can last the rest of the week, but I should stock up soon..

Also, I think my left ring finger is infected. I had pulled some skin off when it got caught while I was taking off my ski boots on Sunday and now it's a bit reddish and sore. Great. I didn't even realize I was bleeding profusely until I put on my jacket.

[1:18 PM EST - Running errands.]

The best past about running errands, is if you can get someone to do it for you. MCC came by to mention that she was going to the bank, and I suddenly had a golden opportunity to get something from the bank. (It's kind of funny since I had realized I needed some last night.)

Anyway, the only problem with delegating chores, is that you can't always guarantee that it'll be done the way you want it done. But that's the price you pay for not having cloning technology perfected yet.

[4:02 PM EST - Where are A batteries?]

I was looking for a good explanation for why there is braille on drive through ATM machines, and came across a question asking why there are no A or B batteries. HT was able to find out the answer to both (after I asked him about the ATMs and he replied "Why not?" - I guess this was to redeem himself). (Oh here's his first answer to the reasoning behind A battery.)

[4:31 PM EST - It's QWERTY all over again.]

Hey, I had forgotten that keyboard number pads are reversed from phone number pads.

[10:17 PM EST - Last minute replacement.]

Well, I just found out that AE just blew the engine of his car so I'll have to fill in for him tomorrow. I also got word of going out to dinner on Saturday with some people I haven't seen in a long time but I'm patrolling that night. (So no rookie party for me.)

[10:22 PM EST - Unlocked badminton.]

Rats. My driver side door is not locking on the RSX. I can manually force the lock, but the automatic mechanisms aren't working. I'll have to have it checked out when I get it brought in for an oil change in a month or so.

Badminton was okay. I didn't play any difficult games that pushed my skills though (in the one difficult game I played, they didn't actually hit the birdie to me all that much so I didn't get any practice!).
