[1:12 PM EST - Happy New Year!]

Happy new year folks. I found out that I haven't completely removed that adware software from my system yet. I still get a popup when I first load IE, but it's an empty popup so I can't actually see the source (until it magically allowed me to maximize it when I was looking at it). I came across a forum thread which talks about that problem.

[1:38 PM EST - Getting ad awareness.]

Okay, I gave up trying to remove those adware programs manually and got myself a copy of Ad-aware. Ahh, much cleaner! (I had 42 things on the system that I didn't notice!)

[1:39 PM EST - One more thing.]

I still had to remove a couple of registry entries manually. The bs3.dll and bsx5.dll entries had to be removed by hand, but at least it didn't come back when I rebooted the machine..

[3:52 PM EST - No use searching.]

Argh, I think I broke the search engine. Crap, when this did happen?

[7:30 PM EST - 98 update and more changes.]

I've been spending most of the day working on my scripts and getting that last machine up and running. Hopefully I'll have everything set up before they leave, but I doubt they'd be lugging around a computer and monitor back home.

I thought I might have to patrol tonight but I didn't get a confirmation phone call so I assume I'm off the hook.

I'm getting the plain text thing working for the other scripts but it will take time. There were some other little changes I've been making, but it just never seems to stop huh? I still have those chess games I want to input and the T-shirt list I want to make.

[7:48 PM EST - News Bytes: Yet another proof.]

I haven't been trolling at my usual news sites, but I popped by the ShackNews just now and came across an article on a possible proof for the Poincare Conjecture.

[8:01 PM EST - Conversion tool required.]

Hey, I found my old Cyrus games. I inputted a lot of my old chess games into Cyrus, but unfortunately, the format it saved in is not ASCII. *wrinkles nose*

I'll either need to find a conversion program or just start from scratch..

[8:09 PM EST - Slow update.]

Yup, these updates are going to take some time. While I'm waiting, I'll throw up the name of the file I found for that pop up window I recently got rid of (with Ad-aware): exitpoplight1. (Just incase anyone comes across it again.)

[9:09 PM EST - Moving to the client side.]

I'm moving some of the functions over to the client side with javascript (like validating some fields) so that some things like comment entry are a tad bit faster.

[10:39 PM EST - Just about there..]

I'm nearly finished setting up that P200. Man, doing all this setup is such a time waster! Oh well, as long as it all works in the end right?

Mind you, now that I've just about finished everything, it's time for bed..

[11:57 PM EST - Carding new pants.]

Early this afternoon, HKL dropped by and gave me a belated season's greetings card. It's one of those personalized ones with a digital picture in front. Geez, that's a great idea! I think I'll have to do that next year..

I also got a new pair of pants from girl. Apparently my current stock of jeans are a little out of fashion right now (something to do with holes and being a very light shade of blue). I guess I won't be wearing these out to ultimate huh?

Oh yeah, the upgrade is indeed complete. I can now bundle off that system with the extra hardware and make some space in the computer room! At least they won't be hounding me to get them a computer now. (Support on the other hand..)
