I finally got around to installing XP on the parental units' machine. I had to use yet another CD-ROM drive to read the CD, but this is all good (as they say). I'm still in the middle of applying patches and updates, so I won't be done until late tonight, but that means that I'll only have one more machine to cobble together and then I'm all good to go on the computer front!
Oh wait, that's if you exclude the Debian upgrade. Doh.
Anyway, while things were being installed, I headed out to Werdna's and Laz's places to drop off their gifts. In the process, I ended up picking up a razor and a CD holder! Nifty!
While I was Laz's place, he showed me the 'Lord of the Rings: Return of the King' game, and tried out XIII. The first was visually pretty good, although we couldn't get the gamepad/joystick to work so never got to try having two players in the game. That was unfortunate.
