[4:29 PM EST - Mail alias.]

MJO suggested that I set up an e-mail alias, so I found the Linux mail how-to and set it up!

[4:34 PM EST - No time to catch up.]

Oh well, I was supposed to be doing something today, like cleaning up or working on my computers, but I ended up doing very little of that. I took some relatives out for lunch, and then came home and did some present wrapping. I tried again to get my hard drive working with no luck. Now it's nearly time to get going for the party. Man, vacations are much too short huh?

[5:15 PM EST - Suddenly complex.]

Whoa, this whole movie thing has gotten a little more confused. I was sequestered to drive JW to the theatre. This was all good, until I found out that he wouldn't be home..

Ah well, we'll see how things go. Things usually all come out even in the wash..

[Friday, December 19, 2003: Return of the King (of confusion).]

The plan was to pick up JW from his house, and then meet up with girl, Dangerman, and CT in the west end to watch 'Return of the King'. At least that was the plan.

I went to my office party and had a lot of food to eat and a lot of drinks to drink. Free food is always good huh? Afterward, I headed to JW's place and waited around for a little while while he got back from his party.

As we were heading west, we gave girl a call, and found out that the were still eating dinner (This was past 9:30 and we had planned to watch the film at 10:30). In fact, they hadn't been given their main course yet and they were eating downtown! Argh! There was no way that we'd be able to meet up with them since they'll never make it to the west end in time. Dangerman suggested watching the midnight show, but I didn't like the idea of making it home past five in the morning. So I decided that JW and I would turn back and watch at a theatre closer to our humble abodes.

That was a good choice actually. We went to one that JW frequented and I actually had gift certificates for this one (I didn't for the other theatre), this one cost us nothing! Woot!

Furthermore, when we got inside, the theatre was mostly empty, so we got pretty prime seats. Sweet. (Only the day after opening night too, which I thought was a little surprising.)

The movie was pretty good, although there were some interesting changes to the story. I will not go into them since I'd rather have you folks watch it yourself!

After the movie, I dropped JW back at home and then made it in the door some time past two-thirty. Not too bad considering that the total running time was nearly four hours (if you included the ads and trailers). It was all good in the end.
