[1:50 PM EST - Maple syrup ride.]

I went down to Werdna's place to pick up some maple syrup (they're getting smaller and smaller each year) and gave him a ride in my car (since it's the first time he's seen it). There are so many cats around his house. When I arrived, there were half a dozen felines at the front door, hungrilly munching on some rice that was given out for them to chew on. One of the cats was making a lot of gurgling noises, so I tried to stay away from that one.

[2:45 PM EST - Miserable failure.]

Laz alerted me to the fact that searching for Miserable Failure on Google will get you something interesting. I think I found the source for this.

[11:48 PM EST - Passing the test.]

I got my free mug from Staples today. They were having a couple of promotions yesterday. One was free shipping on all on line orders, and the other was a free mug for all on line orders.

<- does math.

Well, you know what that means right? A free mug! I decided to buy some post-it notes anyway, since you can never have enough. But just as soon as I had enetered my order, they changed the policy to only give mugs to people who ordered ten dollars worth of merchandise. Too bad. But I still got my free mug!

I keep thinking that I'm forgetting a lot of things, and I probably am. I haven't been throwing a lot of stuff up here because I've been e-mailing it all away. Frankly.. it's okay.

Oh yeah, I passed my written exam for first aid. Barely. The test wasn't that hard, so I'm surprised that I did so poorly. I wonder what I screwed up on? I went out for drinks and some pool afterward with a few of the rookies and a couple of instructors, but that was cool. I need to work on my pool skills..

[Friday, January 9, 2004: I forgot to mention one thing about the game. One of the rookies was making a shot at the beginning of the game, and was mentioning how he wasn't sure if he got the angle right since he wasn't very good at trigonometry. When he made his shot, he knocked the ball off the the table, which prompted the response "At least you've got the third dimension." out of me.]

[11:54 PM EST - The reason for the test.]

Oh yeah, I was supposed to take the written test next week, but the hill might actually be open this weekend and I volunteered to patrol Sunday afternoon. Pretty dumb move huh?

[11:59 PM EST - That's not the cue.]

I forgot something. While playing pool tonight, I was making a shot and instead of hitting the cue ball, I used one of the striped balls. What the heck was I thinking?!? Nobody else (except JH) noticed. I think..
