[9:59 AM EST - The cheque is in the mail.]

Okay, I got the hold back cheque sent via mail to my place. Hopefully we'll have everything sorted out soon!

Things are getting organized for the end of year sports things (badminton and volleyball). We've got tons of space for both methinks, but I know we won't fill the badminton courts so if anyone's interested..

[12:18 PM EST - Hard drive links.]

I forgot to post those hard drive links I got last week from HT. The first shows how they work, the second is construction and operation and the third is a dissection.

[3:12 PM EST - I am so full.]

Ugh. I just got back from our company's Christmas lunch at Devonsleigh Place.

Man, I'm ready to keel over. It was really good though!

[7:42 PM EST - Proper ending tags.]

I knew this looked too easy. My script worked well. Too bad I wasn't anticipating that what I was doing wasn't compliant. Oh well, I wrote another script to fix most of the problems, but I now have to validate everything again! Argh!

[11:09 PM EST - Two feet.]

I looked up some information and came across a page which stated that two feet was long enough. Two feet huh? So I tried it out, and was very concerned when I was a good way through the project and was quickly running out of string. Even right to the end, I thought I didn't have enough, but lo and behold, I tried it on and it fits pretty good!

Don't doubt the power of the internet!

What surprised me the most was that I started and finished it all in just two and a half hours. Last time it took me a week, so I must've remembered some sort of trick I learned the first time I did it. I barely finished the Billy Joel CD set I had before completing the project. Craziness.

So this is one week without a (real) computer. How have things been going? Pretty darned good considering. But I've got a lot of bookkeeping to catch up on, and some stuff I want to archive, and things are slowly piling up for me.. Hopefully I'll at least be able to put a machine together so that I can get ready with recovering my old information if I can access it, but I won't keep my hopes up..
