[5:27 PM EST - You forgot to pick up the insurance.]

Oops. I guess I didn't know that you needed proof of insurance before you can register a car. I got to HW's place this morning to do the changeover and found that out. Fortunately, we didn't end up going all the way to the ministry for them to tell me my mistake. (More info for me here.)

I ended up spending the time helping HW and S add a new air intake in S's car.

[Sunday, March 30, 2003: Plans and hockey.]

I went to the Fox and Fiddle on Saturday to meet up with KB, TB, and NM to figure out plans for the Vermon trip this week. When I got there, I was a little curious as why the place seemed so empty. I found out that they had lost their liquor licence recently, so it meant that we had to find another place to eat (I didn't really care, but the three of them drank). We headed to the Bear and Firken instead. When we got there, we were told that the place was full and the wait would be half-an-hour. A huge empty area was reserved for a group of thirty people so we couldn't sit there, so we decided to go somewhere else instead (I forgot what the name of the place was).

Over dinner we eventually came up to the conclusion that we couldn't really plan anything until a couple of days before we left, so we basically left it at that. But it was nice to see them again.

Afterward, I went to my hockey game, where we won the game and swept the series. I honestly didn't think we'd be able to do that actually since on paper, the other team looked much stronger. I guess we had all of the defenders and the better goalie on our side, which meant that we were able to keep their big scorers off the board. It wa a very close game though, and it was YC's last game until.. whenever.

We went out to dinner afterward, and the Chinese restaurant we went to had a sign posted on the door asking people who had recently come back from Hong Kong and Singapore not to enter the premises. I found thta humourous, but not as funny as the sheet of paper on the table that listed ingredients for a preventative SARS drink (which would cost three dollars to make). Man, this outbreak is really got some people paranoid!
