[12:54 PM EST - Self-inflicted.]

My finger's a little sore. I hit it after trying to smash the birdie last night.

Ahh, so I've got some stuff to do tonight. Hopefully I'll have enough time to get around to doing the car registration and insurance and crap like that. Holy.. there's so much to do when you get a new (old) car. From what I hear, getting a house is just as bad (if not worse).

[5:24 PM EST - Winding down and starting up.]

Well, my winter activities should be winding down soon, while my summer activities should be starting up. I got invited out to play ultimate downtown on Saturday but I won't be able to make it. Summer hockey will be starting soon so I should be paying up. It's strange, but I think I do less sports in the summer than I do in the winter.

[8:53 PM EST - Links for me.]

A couple of links I wanted to throw up for my own edudification.

The Rock Oasis for rock climbing, and the insurance companies Johnson Insurance and Meloche Monnex.

[9:26 PM EST - News Bytes.]

I really should put up some sort of standard header for news. Any ideas?

While I'm here, I'll throw up some news bits. ArsTechnica has a link to news of non-Roman letters being used allowed for internet domain names soon. There's also a link to an interesting talk about the impending chip overcapacity.

On the ShackNews side of things, there's a Homeworld2 Q&A, a Tron 2.0 preview, a nifty stellar event, the future of flash memory, NT4 won't be fixed, and wear sunscreen (in your computer).

[9:53 PM EST - Another LAN party?]

Ooh, I'm not sure if I'm up for this. I've been invited to go to a LAN party tomorrow night. I think I might be getting too old for this, but he did mention Freelancer, so that perked my ears. I'll at least check it out. Right?

[11:29 PM EST - For every political action..]

..there's an equal and opposite retraction.

I forgot to mention something I muttered while in the hut a number of weeks ago. One of the patrollers had brought their daughter out and she was talking about playing hockey in an all boy's league and kicking their butts. KB asked if it was a non-contact league. Apparently it was, so I quipped:

"I guess they haven't discovered girls yet."

KB couldn't wipe that smile off his face even while he was denouncing me. Heh.
