[10:10 AM EDT - Well the weather outside was wonderful..]

Oh boy, does wearing shorts make such a big difference! I biked to work again today, but I decided to throw on a pair of shorts instead of my usual pantaloons because the temperature outside was already over twenty degrees, and it was only nine! The forecasted high is thirty, four degrees above the current standing record of twenty-six. Boy is it ever going to get hot out there. *turns on fan* I figured that with the smog warning, and the warm weather, I would do my part for the environment and leave the car at home. Besides, I get to enjoy the weather (It is really nice out there, although I wouldn't want to be outside at high noon) and get some exercise to boot!

Ahh, it reminds me of my days in high school when I would bike to school every day the summer I took biology at Macdonald.. *remenisces*

Anyway, enough remembering, I do have a job to do ya know, and yes, I did bring some pants in my bag so I didn't look like the only person in the office showing skin.

[5:59 PM EDT - How about this heat?]

I really must try to climatize to this heat. It's really starting to drive me nuts! Fortunately, our office is air conditioned, although our room in particular ends up getting the lion's share of sunlight in the afternoon, thereby negating any benefits we get from the air conditioning. Couple that with the number of computers running during the day, and you've got a sauna situation (without the hot rocks or water).

Lunch was interesting, I had to borrow a car to do the lunch pickup, but on the way back, I passed by a high school and noticed quite a number of girls frolicking out in the field in their summerwear.. (what little there was) *oogles*

Ah, to be sixteen again.. *thinks* Nah, to be twenty-five and surrounded by sixteens.. *nods*

Oops sorry, I got distracted there. Just a little.

Now where was I? Oh yeah, I got a link from Squishy today about quantum computers. Seeing as I did end up taking all of the quantum courses in university physics, I figured that I might as well throw it up. (Don't ask me how I did in those courses however.)

The bike back home was pretty good. I had the wind with me most of the way across 14th. What interested me the most was seeing the number of cars that were jammed on the road next to me. I was half tempted to wave at the cars I was passing by, but I figured that I'd lose in a game of chicken with any of these folks so I kept my hands on the handlebar.

Just think, I could've been one of those plebeians. But no, I was racing by them at a dazzling 30 kph..

Hee hee, okay, I'll stop now. I think I'll bike to work again tomorrow if I have the chance. You know, even though I was a little hesitant at the thought of biking to work, now that I've done it a couple of times, it's hard not to want to hop on the bike and trek up there in the mornings. It really gets the blood flowing and wakes you up in the morning! *nods*

There's an ultimate practice today. I think I'll go to it.

[6:10 PM EDT - Planet smoke.]

Hey, there was a rant I found on the ShackNews that I thought was interesting. It sort of reminds me of the club policy fiasco at UW. Well, not really.

The other link I found was about bars being liable for cancer caused by second hand smoke! How they'll enforce this is anyone's guess.
