The CN Tower climb was this morning. Oh boy, I need sleep. Since HaremPresident was going to do the climb, I figured that I'd join up with his group, so I game him a call last night to see when they were going to be going down to the event. I got a call back at eleven telling me that they were thinking of meeting down there at seven.
Whoa.. seven?!? That means I have to get up a six?!? (I don't usually get up until after eight.) *looks at clock* Boy it's going to be a short sleep. He told me that he would confirm with the group leader and tell me what was going on. Around midnight, he calls back telling me that the meeting time was indeed at seven.
Goody. I won't be getting much sleep tonight.
So I got up at six this morning and rushed on down to the tower. I was ten minutes late. Fortunately, they were a little late as well but seeing as I had not registered yet (they pre-registered) and since John thought I would be able to catch up, they went on ahead. Considering how long I had to wait to register, I was surprised that I was able to catch up with them at all!
My final time ended up being 18:38. *groan* That's worse than last year (which was worse than the year before)!
I think I'm getting old..
After the climb, and a long wait at the top (for some of the slower folks), we headed down to the Marché for breakfast. The food was good, albeit expensive.
The weather doesn't look so good, so I'm going to pass on roller hockey and go shopping for some new shoes..

Hey, I went shopping and picked up a new pair of outdoor sneakers. They should be good for the next year or so (It better be more, considering how much I paid for them.) This pair isn't black, so I won't be able to pass them off as dark dress shoes in dimly lit formal events. Hmm.. *rubs chin* I'll have to figure a way around that.. *grabs can of spray paint*

I went to a birthday party soon after getting my new shoes. It was with the roller hockey folks, so I didn't really know anyone there all too much. Some were recognizeable while most were not. There were apparently some new faces there that the regulars didn't know as well, so it was an interesting gathering of people.
The food was pretty good, and the conversation and games were okay. I ended up talking with one girl who went to a high school I could've gone to but after I found out when she graduated I relized that she probably wouldn't know any of the poeple that I knew who went there. God I feel old.
