[Sunday, April 15, 2001: Sushi, hockey, showers, oh my!]

This morning I got up and was greeted by a call for sushi for lunch. One of girl's friends was in town and wanted to get the gang together, so I decided to join in (heck, how often do I go out for sushi?). I was also told before we left by girl that Laz had actually gone to Jack Astor's the night before but I never saw him there! A quick call later confirmed the rumour and apparently the boy showed up after the third period. I'm surprised that he didn't see me! (Me with that rather obvious red coat.)

Also before we left, I was told that there was roller hockey being held that afternoon, but was informed the previous day that it was canceled. Apparently it was, but then it was on again, and off again, and on again and.. well, it was a mess, but the final word was that the game was on, so I decided to go and join in the fun.

So, we went to lunch, which was good. I hadn't met TN for a while, and the food was pretty good. After lunch, we headed back to my place where I picked up my stuff before heading off to play roller hockey. I got a ride from Jules, who I found out was quite the avid driver. She'll love Initial D.

Roller hockey was pretty good. We had more people show up than last time, and that proved to make the game a little more fast paced (since we played with five people a side and had lots of subs). Most of the guys who were off the court would continuously make comments on the people in play, and I was no exception. Actually, I think I was the focus of most of the banter from the peanut gallery, but I digress. It was all fun.

Afterward, we headed up to a baby shower and there were a lot of people there. Oh my, it was another gala party up in the party house and what really surprised me the most were the baby games. The most disturbing one that I remember was the one where we had a team of guys and a team of girls pitted against each other to determine the ingrediants of ten jars of baby food. Most of the food was disgusting! No wonder babies cry so much when you feed them! *spits out paste* The rest of the food was basically tasteless. Eww. I sure hope I don't have to do that again..

We also ended up watching the Leaf's game. They played pretty darned well tonight! I'm quite impressed. We'll see if they can bring their winning streak to Toronto..

That's about it. I ended up not missing one event but making it to three, with no spare time left. Time to sleep..
