[9:58 AM EDT - He's walking behind.]

I installed SP2 on my computer last night. I figured that I might as well test it on one of my systems now that it's out (and available on Windows Update). It took longer to install than I had anticipated, so I was able to sneak in another chapter (about the rise of the Christian Emperors) in "The Roman Empire". Quite an interesting read, that book.

On the way to work (I drove today), I came across a three-way stop and, like any other driver, slowed down. I doubt any veteren driver comes to a full stop before looking, (especially when it's a three-way stop), but just as I was glancing over to my right (and lifting my foot off the brake) I saw a police cruiser sitting idly half-a-block down. "Oh no!" I thought, "Did I come to a complete stop?" Of course not! Fortunately, I did slow down enough, for long enough, for it to seem like a stop in the eyes of the police, and the cruiser remained idle while I continued on my merry way.

I guess they're really cracking down on those non-stoppers huh?

[11:02 AM EDT - One man front.]

Where the heck is everyone? Argh!

Anyway, it seems like the bad karma that I missed out on Saturday travelled the width of the continent and landed in KGL's lap. Poor kid. Bad karma is always a bad thing, especially if it came from me! Speaking of the other end of the continent, NVM voted for the chili party. Good choice.

Oh hey, if you have any technology challanged friends or relatives that you can't support anymore, you can send them here. I found it on the ShackNews.

Hmm.. it seems as if acquiring the Duke Nukem Forever video will take.. forever. Must find alternates..

[2:24 PM EDT - OLEDs.]

Cool. I found an article (via ArsTechnica) on some symposuim on organic light emiting diodes. Like all other cool technology, this stuff is probably five to ten years away, although the inkjet method of creating OLED displays is a neat idea.

[7:12 PM EDT - Scratches..]

Argh! There are scratches on my laptop! Grr, I think it was caused by the plug on my adapter, and for some reason it got ground into the top of the case and did it's damage. I'm surprised that it didn't happen earlier, considering how much abuse I put my bag through.

I finally checked out the Duke Nukem: Forever video.

Cool.

[8:23 PM EDT - More than distinguished.]

Hey, I passed Jax's site in the number of hits! (Of course, with that statement, I just made a whole horde of you to go to the DD to check, thereby making my comment false.)

It's supposed to be nice tomorrow, but since I have lunch plans, I can't bike to work. =( At least I'll be able to get some exercise that night with some roller hockey.. *rubs hands in anticipation*

Actually, I don't have anything planned for the weekend. Apart from roller hockey and ultimate (on Monday), I have no idea what to do.

What to do..

[10:38 PM EDT - The fall of Rome.]

I finished off "The Roman Empire" pretty quickly. I told you it was a quick read. Asimov only goes up the the fall of the western Roman Empire, and only hints at the revival and eventual collapse of the Eastern half of the empire several centuries later. Since Growly might be wondering, this book was actually from the library. I guess my dad picked it up when the library was discarding some of it's old inventory. Lucky!

Speaking of the library, I should go sometime. I need stuff to read..

I forgot to shave today. Man, I must've looked pretty gross at work. Fortunately, we didn't have anyone come in to visit, so things went well. (As long as I remember to shave tomorrow.)

With nothing better to do, I went back to the project I started last month and decided to finish what I had and start on a new one (now that I know what the heck I'm doing). I'm already one quarter done, and it only took me an hour! Geez, and girl told me that it would take a long time..
