[10:07 AM EDT - Nothing I didn't know already.]

A whole bunch of girl's friends came over to visit. Well, they did have an ulterior motive. They wanted to set off fireworks, and I had a whole stash of them (saved from the days when I was selling them oh-so-long ago). Actually, it started off small, like four people, and I went up stairs to do a bit of reading. WHen I came back down several minutes later, the doormat was covered with shoes! The living room was packed with people! Oh my god! It was an invasion!!

Ahem. So I took out some stuff from my cache and sent them on their merry way. I went to sleep.

Actually, I've been really tired lately. I don't know why. It's not like I've been doing that much excercise lately.

Oh yeah, so far "The Wealthy Barber" hasn't taught me anything that I didn't know. It's more geared towards those sieve for wallet/purse type people and not towards a spend thrift like me. We'll see though.

[1:10 PM EDT - Kim Stockwood.]

I've got a craving for poutine. This morning on the radio, Kin Stockwood was subbing in for Marilyn Dennis (and has been since Friday) and she mentioned something about how good the Burger King poutine was. I totally agree, although that stuff probably rots your gut and clogs your intestines, but I digress. (Actually, she did a good rendition of a number of famous songs using the tune from "You Jerk".) Anyhoo.. I can't stop thinking about poutine. This isn't that bad since some of the other things I tend to think about probably not G rated. *looks around*

Argh! Must.. have.. poutine..

I'll be back.

[6:34 PM EDT - Inflation.]

Argh! When did Burger King raise their prices for poutine?!? *shakes fist* I feel a little cheated now.

Anyhoo, I found an interesting article about a study on DoS attacks on ZDNet.

I also noticed that Laz and KGL both have updates up. You may want to see what's been going on in their lives.

[10:22 PM EDT - CSTC 2001.]

A little weirDo told me that my name appeared the CSTC 2001 page that alluded to the fact that I was doing a poster at the symposium.

Uhh.. It must be my good twin.

Oh hey, as a followup to the time travel method using light that I mentioned on Friday, weirDo found an article about the gravitational effects of a ring laser. I don't know if I'm allowed to post this, so I'll only keep it up for a few days.

[10:50 PM EDT - Insurance.]

I've started getting into the more interesting parts of "The Wealthy Barber". Life insurance, wills, and the rest of that lot. Quite some eye opening tips in there. *nods* I'll have to look into it myself sometime.

I was just over at the ShackNews and found out that somthing awfully familiar is going on on the other end of the globe. that we destroyed fascism fifty years ago. Alright, so this is not technically fascism, but discrimination sure is alive and well in the world.

On a different note, there's an interesting (critical) Salon article about the the sudden explosion of skin at this year's E3.
