[9:12 PM EDT - Birthday.]

Man, it seems to be a good time for birthdays huh? I found out today that my cousin just had a baby boy yesterday! I got to see lil BT today at the hospital (I got quite a number of stares as well). Man, kids are so small when they're born.

Anyway, let's get back to chronicling.

We went to the King Street Trio for dinner last night. I had some of their excellent prime rib while listening to the night's live jazz entertainment. Quite a good meal, and a fair number of people showed up despite JCC and HNT's romp in the woods.

After I got back home, I found out that MPS left a message on the answering machine! (How the heck did MPS find out my number?) Anyway, what interested me more was the fact that the message was very QYVish. I think I'm influencing the kid a little too much.

Last, but not least, I wasn't able to resist the urge to play Diablo 2. Fortunately, I was playing on Werdna's machine, so I was able to pull myself away at around two in the morning. (This is a good thing since I did have to wake up early to go to Toronto.)

I woke up early this morning, but skipped out on breakfast. ALee and HaremPresident picked me up and we were off. On the way to Toronto, I finally heard the song Simple Kind of Life by No Doubt. (The song that KGL has on her .plan.) Also, as we were just entering the city, I noticed that the express lanes going in the other direction were completely empty. This, coupled to the fact that the traffic on our side started to slow down (darned rubberneckers) indicated that there was some sort of traffic accident that must've just happened. I was right.

On the left hand side, we saw a half-dozen fire trucks, and a number of cop cars. There was also a car or two that looked like they just went through a trash compactor. I didn't notice myself, but apparently they were trying to pull someone from out of one of the cars. I had enough time to grab my camera and take a few pictures, but unfortunately, I didn't set the shutter speed properly so I'm worried that my pictures will be blurry.

The interesting part of this entire event was the traffic going the other way. It must've been at a standstill for quite some time because there were people milling about all over the place! (Just like that REM video.) I was so glad we weren't going in that direction. I hope the people who got hurt are all right.

I found out that the pictures that I sent home last month have been developed! Some are pretty crappy, but I can at least post a picture of our cat-for-the-day.

I spent most of the day napping, although we did go out to see the new member of the (extended) family, and dinner. We went out to a Chinese buffet restaurant, and since it was my birthday, I ate for free! This is a good thing because I wasn't hungry. Actually, I was quite full.

It's quite odd, but I haven't really eaten much since I got injured, and I haven't been all that hungry either. Hmm.

I should probably be going to sleep soon. I'm tired, and I have to catch up on the sleep lost from last night! *yawns*

Quite true, but I figured that if we were stuck there, I might as well take a couple photos for posterity.
