[10:02 AM EDT - Honey do the dew.]

I wanted to ride this morning so I couldn't take too long for breakfast. As such, I took out the honeydew that was sitting in the fridge for the past couple of weeks and consumed the entire fruit before I left. It was filling, but now I'm hungry. Very hungry. I knew I should have gotten myself some fibre for breakfast!

[Thursday, May 25, 2006: Another missed opportunity.]

I had planned to go to see the optometrist about my eyes but traffic was heavy leaving the office and I wasn't even close to getting in before closing time.

Actually, traffic this morning was pretty bad as well. There was a serious incident on the highway and traffic spilled out onto the side roads. I had heard about the highway incident so I avoided the area, but I couldn't avoid all the cars that were also taking a detour around it. Once I passed the accident site though, things went very smoothly.

As I didn't go to my optometrist, I arrived at badminton much earlier than usual. My wrist was killing me, but after a game, it had loosened up a bit and I was able to play. I probably should go easy on it though.

I had planned on doing a bit of shopping after badminton, but the weather was looking really foreboding, so I decided to go straight home. To cut down on time, I went onto the highway and.. it wasn't that bad! There wasn't that much traffic, and I wasn't too freaked out by the speed. I guess the ride last Monday got me used to moving at high speeds for extended periods of time so I had no problem on the freeway. (I did get hit by a few bugs though.)
