[11:42 PM EDT - On the way back.]

On the way back from Keswick, we took a path that had no cops, or at least that was what we were told. There was a police cruiser parked on a side road less than a kilometer from where we had started taking the road, so I found the comment quite funny.

In addition, there was an accident involving a motorcyclist. There didn't seem to be any damage to his touring bike, so we're not quite sure what was wrong with him. The rider didn't seem to have any obvious trauma when we passed by.

We took a break once we got close to CC's place to rest and warm up (it was cold!) and after sitting around trying to decide what to do, the three of us stopped for drinks and snacks before heading to CC's place to change the oil in SS's bike, but the oil filter clamp was the wrong size! That's two strikes, but the tird time's the charm right?

We went home afterwards.

[11:50 PM EDT - Keswick ho!]

Since I didn't have anything planned to today, I decided to head up to GWG's place to check out his new house. I was lucky enough that GWG was home, and also lucky that it didn't start to rain heavily today. The forecast was for variable clouds, but there was scattered light rain all over the place. In addition, it was very windy, and very cool.

I met up with SS near his place before we headed to pick up CC. Both of them were hesitant on riding up to Keswick but were willing to ride North as far as they felt comfortable with. So I let SS (the only one who actually rode the limit) take point and we headed North. With every intersection we passed, I would let out a laugh as we kept getting closer and closer to Lake Simcoe. My hands were starting to get real cold from the wind, but the rest of my body was doing fairly well.

By the time SS finally decided that they had gone far enough, they pulled into a gas station and we decided on what to do. I asked a guy who was mowing the lawn how far Keswick was, and he told me that it was two minutes from there. Two minutes! Why not finish the trip when you've got that far? So the three of us continued North with me taking point this time. We found GWG's place without too much trouble. (I was fortunate enough to remember at least one of the street names.) We didn't stick around long before heading back South.

[11:51 PM EDT - One more thing.]

I went to my parent's place for dinner, so now I'm stocked up on food that will last more than a week. Joy.
