[9:56 AM EDT - The rain name game.]

There only seems to be six ING bank machines in all of Canada. Four of them happen to be in Toronto. Two of them just happen to be near my work place. How convenient is that?

Oh, the brace readjustment yesterday went by very quickly. I didn't have to wait, and I'm guessing that it was a combination of my earlier time slot and the rain. My next few appointments are in the first time slot so I should be good, so long as I don't forget to go, and I'm not late.

During Mandarin class on Tuesday, the topic of Chinese last names came up and how most last names were a single character. The teacher asked if anyone knew any Chinese family names that have two characters, so I gave him one. So he asked if I knew some one with that last name. This was a trick question, but I gave a different (but correct) answer:

"Well, me."

So he asked,

"Anyone else?"

And I gave him the answer he was looking for:

"Well, you."

Had I not known that he had the same last name, I would never have noticed. (I doubt anyone else did either.)

I don't really consider you and he to have the last name. Seto (Szeto, whatever) and Stowe are not the same.

Ah, technically they are different but his Chinese name is: Sītú Xiāngwén. Although the translation is not perfect, the last name is 司徒, which is the same as mine.
