[Monday, February 27, 2006: Staying in bed.]

I woke up in the middle of the night with two problems: an upset stomach and feeling very cold. I hadn't had a problem with feeling cold before, and a part of my mind that was listening to my belly was trying to convince me to head to the washroom to remove any offending matter from my stomach.

The rest of my brain won over though and I stayed in bed. I don't know if I got any sleep but when I got up the next morning, I was tired, nauseous, sore, and had a headache.

And I had a play to attend.

Somehow I managed to drag myself out of bed and get washed up. I made it out to the theatre in one piece. (The sunglasses helped.)

I got to the theatre just in time. I bought my ticket and the lady asked me if I wanted an aisle seat. I figured that would be a good idea. So she told me there was only one left and pointed on the seating diagram to one of the seats in the middle. I thought that was acceptable and picked up the ticket. When I walked into the theatre, I looked down for my seat and saw that it was right at the entrance! The seating layout had shown the upper balcony seats behind the lower seats so that at first glance, I thought I was in the middle, but I was actually at the back right next to the doors! Doh!

Ah well. The play itself was pretty good considering. They were mostly kids, and although I was expecting more of a school level type of gig, this was a bit more professional with full props and makeup and a ensemble and the like. (The trumpeter had some trouble hitting the notes though.) The leads were all in their late teens but the vast majority of the cast were under fourteen.

So yeah, the play was enjoyable but I was in no mood to stick around since by the end of the play, all my muscles were complaining, my head was spinning, and my eyes were begging for a break.

When I got home, I went straight to bed. I got up a few hours later to get a drink, and then went to bed again, and didn't get up until the next morning..

Actually, I think you would have felt a lot better if you had tossed your cookies...

Yeah, I knew I would've felt better, but I just don't like doing it unless I really, really had to.

And since I had a lot of food the night before, I can't narrow it down to what may have caused the incident (although HaremPresident, FlyingS, Werdna and Rowan Redfern were there too..). I'm guessing that it was the seafood.
