[10:08 AM EST - Caveat Lector: Being Chased.]

I got an interesting message from chase.com about trouble logging into my account. Funny thing is that I don't have a Chase account. This scam is old but this iteration is fairly recent.

They try to make it as legitimate as possible by putting in a lot of valid links. In fact, I think they all are but one:

To unlock your account, and verify your identity please follow this link and sign in:

Which leads you to http://jpmchase-online.com/.

Craziness.

[10:23 AM EST - Chain Links: Crazy bikers]

Madelaine doesn't want me to ride. She sent me some pictures of a bike that crashed into a VW at 155 mph.

She also sent out pictures of a car that hit a moose.

Both of these have been circulating the net for some time now.

[12:34 PM EST - Chain Links: T.O. hot spot.]

I was just checking out HaremPresident's blog and noticed that he had a link about Toronto becoming a wireless hot spot. I'm fairly close to the downtown core (although not really) so I'm wondering if I'll be able to see anything by the beginning of next year?

[4:48 PM EST - The phone deal.]

So here's the deal. I was thinking of canceling my phone line because I don't actually use my phone for anything (except for the buzzer). Now, I'd save myself a bundle if didn't need to use it, but there are two problems: Firstly, it would cost me fifty-five bucks to reconnect the line if I wanted to have a phone connected again. Secondly, I would have to pay an extra ten bucks for a bare internet connection.

I'd still save money in the long run, but not all that much. Curses! I can't wait for the T.O. hot spot to get set up..

[Wednesday, March 8, 2006: Back to broomball.]

I went to play broomball tonight after a two week hiatus. I showed up late - again - but playing without glasses didn't seem to make as much of a difference as it did before. However, one of the biggest changes was visibility late in the game. I tended to sweat a bit because of the helmet, and it would get onto my glasses, obscuring my vision. On top of that, my glasses could fog up as well, so without those two handicaps, my late game was only hindered by my lack of cardio.

I guess I'll be working on that.
