[6:55 PM EST - Losing weight.]

Hmm, I just checked my weight right now and I'm below 160 pounds. I think I've been starving myself for the past week because of my braces, but I've started eating more in the past couple of days.

Well, more than the first few days of the week. I don't think I'll ever get back up to my pre-brace days of food consumption, but that's probably a good thing.

Speaking of those braces, my teeth have moved around. the canine that was sticking out on the right side of my lower jaw is even further out now and my front teeth have slid back a bit. I hope this is a temporary change (the molar still hasn't budged yet).

[7:03 PM EST - A bit fuzzy.]

It's been more than twp days since I've gotten my eyes fixed and things are a little bit fuzzy still. I've lost some near sight focusing (I need about half a foot to focus) and I think I've lost some night vision. I'm also getting that halo effect people talk about but I can easily function without the need for corrective lenses.

The annoying part is that my sight was clearer with glasses than what they are like now. Still, it'll take several months before my eyes stabilize so I'll leave final judgment until then.

Oh, one of the first thoughts that crossed my mind when I took a shower after the operation was not "Ick, this bathtub is dirty" or "What's this brown stuff on the curtain?" or "I really should make cleaning a habit", but "Oh wow, I've got hair on my legs!".

Uh, yeah.. that was a pretty stupid thought. But hey, it was a surprise to me! (I can even see my toenails!)

[7:31 PM EST - Eye drops.]

I don't like eye drops. I've never been good with using them, and I have some of the worst aim possible. First of all, I don't like seeing something approaching my eye, be it a contact lens, or a drop of fluid, or a birdie, or whatever. I have a very strong instinctive reaction to close my eyes. This is good when I'm protecting my eyes, but not so good for eye drops.

To get around this, I try to look away when I apply the drops, but I end up missing the eye half the time and have to adjust my aim. I usually get more of the fluid on my face than in the eye itself. If I'm lucky, I get close enough that I can tilt my head and let the liquid run into the eye. It doesn't always work though.

Fortunately, I only have to do this for the next five days. After which, I should just be careful not to rub my eyes for the next few weeks. That's it!

[7:57 PM EST - In and out of focus..]

One more thing that I forgot to mention. When I'm straining my sight, I seem to go out of focus as well. Again, I'll wait until my eyes have stabilized before I come up with any conclusions, but it can be annoying.

At least I had time today to do a lot of much needed cleaning. The tub's scrubbed, the floors swept, and carpet vacuumed. I even got around to organizing some of my CDs. I've got a bit more cleaning to do though.

[8:50 PM EST - Chain Links: Biking Issues.]

Dangerman found a couple of links related to motorcycles. The first is a crash, the second is a crash from a race.

I've found a bunch of other crazy motorcycle crashes, I might post a list of them at some point in time.

[9:11 PM EST - Something else I've been doing.]

Oh yeah, all that time I've been spending on the computer? I wanted to finish Knights of the Old Republic II. Which I have finished today and..

Well, the ending was a bit anti-climactic. Mind you, I was warned beforehand. One more year, and this game would've rocked. As such, it's still a good game, but the potential! *sigh*

At least I can now pull myself away from the computer..

Oh, F.E.A.R. me..

[11:18 PM EST - Needing to organize.]

Ever since I got my new braces and eyes, my washroom's turned into a pharmacy, with all the extra equipment and drugs that were given to me to use. I guess some of this stuff is temporary, but it sure does clutter the sink.
