[8:06 AM EST - That's so weird..]

I was looking for my glasses for a bit, when I realized that I didn't need them! (Besides, I can't really use them since they'll just make my sight all that much more fuzzy..)

[8:09 AM EST - Fuzzy and haloy..]

Well, my sight is definitely a lot better, although I am getting that halo affect with any bright objects. I've been told that it'll pass with time, but I don't think I should be driving for the next couple of days. I'll write up a more detailed list of events later when I can focus better (for the eyes and for the braces). Until then..

[Sunday, February 19, 2006: First day of new sight (beyond sight).]

I had my post operative checkup this morning, and there was also a bank meeting where we were to change signing authorities. Unfortunately the two events nearly conflicted, and I wasn't able to drive either. My appointment at the clinic was at ten-ten, while the meeting at the bank was at eleven. Not good when one was in downtown Toronto and the other was in Pickering.

Fortunately for me, I arrived early at the clinic and there was nobody there, so the doctor saw me immediately, and after a quick examination (apparently I've got some sort of swelling in my eye) I was done. It was over in ten minutes. So I got out before ten! Yay!

Unfortunately, DE, who was giving me a ride, was going to be late. I ended up talking with a couple of girls in the waiting room. One of them was at the clinic the day before and had her eyes done soon after me. (Apparently she saw my operation.) I recalled that her friend was quite attractive, but she didn't come today. (Oh well.)

DE eventually showed up and we headed to the bank. We met up with SR and got the paperwork done for the handover before going out for lunch. The salmon chowder was great, but I had a lot of trouble with the seafood pasta. The calamari, scallop, and shrimp were a bit overcooked, and it was a little too tough for my teeth to handle. It took a long time to go through half the dish.

It was all good though. Another meal paid for by someone else and DE drove me home afterward.

[Sunday, February 19, 2006: What I probably shouldn't have done.]

I ended up turning on my computer, and that was a mistake, because I couldn't turn it off! Argh!

I wasn't supposed to be looking at any screens or read, or do anything that might strain my eyes, but I guess old habits die hard.

girl invited me out to a pot luck party, but I wasn't in the mood to socialize. Besides, if anything went wrong with my eyes, I'd rather be home when it happened.
