[9:04 AM EDT - Rolling hit.]

I drove into the parking lot this morning to look for a good parking spot. I came across this guy crossing the laneway and allowed him to pass while eyeing the spot that he parked next to. Before I was able to move into position, I saw his car backing up, so I figured that maybe he got dropped off.

As the car passed in front of me, I saw that there was no driver, so I started honking the horn desperately to flag his (or anyone's) attention although there really wasn't much anyone could really have done at that point. The car rammed a parked minivan and the guy (who already looked a little disheveled) rushed to inspect the damage. I parked in a spot further away.

The damage was slight. There were scratchs on the bumper, and I didn't get to inspect the other car.

At least it woke me up. *puts transmission into first gear*

[9:36 AM EDT - Speaking of cars..]

Last night, I had parked my car next to the window of the bar, so I could see it from where we were sitting. While we were finishing up our meal, there were some gangster looking guys outside near my car. One had splashed another with his drink, and they were.. discussing the incident. LS wasn't liking this situation very much, and neither was I, since my car was right there. Not much happened though, although they did hang around there for some time, and one was actually looking into my car (I think he tried opening my door). Strange..

[10:13 AM EDT - Prohibition.]

I got a quote from Squishy just now,

"You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. It helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer."

Frank Zappa

And that brought to mind whether the US would've been a country during Prohibition, which got me trying to figure out when it was (1920-33) and got me reading an article as to why Prohibition didn't work, and..

Well, history is quite an interesting subject.

[10:36 AM EDT - One four all (wheel drive).]

I remember having discussions with people about the differences between four wheel drive and all wheel drive and I remembered that it had something to do with having all four tires having independent power in all wheel drive while four wheel drive had the wheels locked in some way. Well, the difference is the differential:

"The differential is found on all modern cars and trucks, and also in many all-wheel-drive (full-time four-wheel-drive) vehicles. These all-wheel-drive vehicles need a differential between each set of drive wheels, and they need one between the front and the back wheels as well, because the front wheels travel a different distance through a turn than the rear wheels.

Part-time four-wheel-drive systems don't have a differential between the front and rear wheels; instead, they are locked together so that the front and rear wheels have to turn at the same average speed. This is why these vehicles are hard to turn on concrete when the four-wheel-drive system is engaged."

Pretty neat stuff.

[7:17 PM EDT - What's going on here?]

What the..? All of a sudden, I can't seem to make any web pages! The browser I had previously opened still works though, so this is really confusing me..

[7:23 PM EDT - ..and it's back up.]

What the heck? I'm really confused. Anyway, I've got some computers to put together and not a whole lot of time to do it!

[7:29 PM EDT - Downtime.]

Okay, if I plan on making this upgrade, I'll have to take the server offline for a little while. I think I'll put together the P75 first, maybe work on that missing entry, and then start looking at upgrading. But be forewarned: The server's coming down!
