[Sunday, October 12, 2003: Dinner, pickup, and leak.]

After Laz's driving lesson, and showing him the first episode of the second season of "24" (while I was catching up on some stuff), we went out for dinner at Harvey's before picking up Tenshi. I figured that I would drive since it was their first time in the new car. When we got back to the house, we noticed a large puddle underneath the GT-S. Popping the hood, I noticed that the brake fluid reservoir was empty. I had filled it up after our driving lesson since the level had dropped a bit. It seems as if the brake line sprung another leak, this one closer to the reservoir, which meant that just letting the car sit around wasn't a good idea either. Crap!

[1988 Corolla GT-S.]

My old car is a 1988 Corolla GT-S. (Very close to Hachi-Roku.) It's holding up pretty well despite it's age, but I think it's on it's last legs now. I'll be using it mainly as a trainer and commuting car from this point on.

My old car in the driveway.

I had noticed some sort of smoke or mist coming out from under the car when I was testing the brakes (while trying to find out where the other leak was - back left tire) so I guess I really do have to get this fixed if I even want to consider having other people drive this death trap. Curses! Time to take it down to the mechanic to get it looked over. *sigh*
