[12:08 AM EDT - I KNEW I should've looked there.]

Okay, I'm finally getting ready to leave. I figured out what was wrong and realized that I needed a new build. *shakes head* You'd think things like this would've been done before! *shakes fist*

Well, I'm going to have a small dinner and then it's straight to bed!

[12:05 PM EDT - Gotta go shopping.]

Ooh, I gotta do some shopping stuff. I need my hair cut too. *looks at clock* Ooh, plenty of time..

[6:38 PM EDT - Shopping's done and cropped.]

Wow, I'm using a lot less shampoo again. Not like I needed a lot before, but I always like having my hair dry as I walk from the bathroom to my bedroom.

Anyway, I got all my shopping done. I was a little worried that I would have to do some shopping around, but I got what I was looking for, and I didn't run out of gas either! *beams*

So I'm going to be busy for the rest of the night. I've also got a few things to do tomorrow so I doubt I'll be working on this anytime soon.

I'm downloading more stuff for my server as we speak, so hopefully I'll be able to finish upgrading it soon.

[Sunday, October 6, 2002: Sushi hockey.]

The plan for tonight (for me at least) was to go out to Dangerman's birthday dinner and then head out to hockey. The times were at seven and ten-thirty (although I wanted to get there early to do some drills). So, we had everything arranged for seven and I was prepared to go.

I got a call from girl. Apparently Growly and SJ were running a bit late so I didn't have to be at the restaurant until later. Like an hour later. Okay.. that's still acceptable. The restaurant was walking distance from my place so I hung around the house for a while.

There was another call. Apparently they were now running VERY late. Oh.. kay. *scratches head* You know, this is cutting my schedule pretty close. I didn't want to play hockey on a full stomach. What was I going to do?

Call three: Apparently theMediaman did not mention to the group that he was going to be showing up at the dinner and so apparently he was at the restaurant already. *looks at watch* Quarter after seven. Great. I was told that he was probably alone, so I should go and join up with him to keep him company. Great. I was also supposed to call Laz and warn him about the schedule change. Great. So, I got my stuff and headed off to the restaurant.

I wandered into the restaurant and noticed how busy it was. I was a little worried that we wouldn't be able to get a seat, so I went along the outside to see if I could see theMediaman. Unfortunately all of the windows were covered by blinds, so I had to go inside to check. I smiled at the waitress and slipped inside. Peeking into each enclosure, I began to eliminate each spot until I reached the last one. I peeked inside and saw way too many people so I started heading back..

Waitaminute. One of them looked like theMediaman (or at least someone with the same hair). I looked inside again. *blink* It WAS theMediaman! Except.. I didn't recognize everyone. Why were there so many people? I counted five, which is four more than I expected. (Well, three actually.)

I found out later that there was a bit of broken telephone that went on between theMediaman, Growly, Dangerman, girl, and finally me.

So I joined the table and helped order some food. I got to meet a couple of new people who's names I have now forgotten. I also added to their little map of people's houses to figure out why this restaurant was chosen. (Apart from me, the closest house was about a half-hour drive away.)

Anyhoo, we had a grand old time before girl and Dangerman showed up. Making space for them was pretty easy. Then Laz showed up, but he doesn't take up much space, then finally Growly and SJ showed up and things got a little tight..

We managed to fit everyone into that six person table amazingly enough. A lot of lap compression was used. So I hung around there until I really had to leave for hockey.

I made it a little later than I had hoped, but I was able to get some ice time in and practice my stops. Well, left-hand stops (which I can't do). As I was coming back from the washroom, KS looked at me and asked,

"Is that a girl that I see on the back of your shirt?"

I was wearing my Izumi shirt. I decided to play dumb and face her every time she tried to look. That entertained me for a minute until she gave up and went into the change room.

The game went fairly well. Fairly well for the other team that is. It was one of the lowest scoring games we've ever had with goalies. (It was 8-4.) Usually we get a combined score over 30, so this was an amazingly defensive (on their end) and goalie intensive (on our end) game.

Afterward we headed out for some food before heading home.
