[11:05 AM EDT - Getting in the groove.]

Well, fall activities are really picking up now. With first aid in it's second week, Pho week more than half done, and ultimate starting this Sunday the only thing I have to wait for, two things actually, are broomball and badminton.

Oh man, another day of pho. I'm not looking forward to it.

[Friday, September 20, 2002: Pho Week: Day Four.]

Actually, going out for Pho wasn't so bad today. I guess after getting over that hump on Wednesday helped everybody with the rest of the week. I still think I should've ordered XL though. The restaurant we went to wasn't actually a Pho place. It was more of a Vietnamese BBQ type place which sold Pho. So, the tables lacked the usual container of chopsticks and spoons, as well as the ubiquidous hot sauce and hoisin sauce. (The plastic on the tables threw me off too. I haven't seen those in an uptown restaurant in years.) The food was acutally quite good. It wasn't your standard Pho, but slightly different. After eating Pho for three days straight, these subtle differences weren't very subtle. It was like taking the tomato paste out of pizza. It was unexpected, but not necessarily bad. All in all, it was pretty good, although not your average Pho fare.

At First Aid, we had our first skills test which was on assessment. This is the second hardest part of the course IMNSHO. (The hardest being diagnostics and treatment of unusual symptoms.) I actually did quite well. I was in the zone.

<- zones out.

Whoa.

I felt much better after that, and I've got a lot more confidence for our practical in over a month's time.
