[4:34 PM EDT - Upgrading.]

Hmm, I'm seriously thinking of upgrading my server's operating system. The boot partition got hosed somehow and I've been booting off of diskette for the past few months. Add to that, the fact that the harddrive overlay is still there despite my best attempts to remove it (a combination of a overlay software and non-windows OS). Furthermore, the need to upgrade my system for security reasons. I've been messing around with the server a bit too much and although it's functional, I'm a little worried that it might not be sometime in the near future.

So.. should I upgrade tonight? If so, will I remember what packages to install when everything comes back up? It's been so long since I put this system together that I'm not sure if I remember all of the quirks associated with it. *rubs chin* This might get very annoying..

[4:44 PM EDT - Up ShackNews.]

The ShackNews's been down for a bit, but it's up now. (You should check out their "sorry we're broken" page.)

Interested in a plasma TV? Prices are coming down. Still too expensive for my blood. Some smart dust may be cheaper to swallow however. (Although I wouldn't swallow any.)

[10:51 PM EDT - Not all too much.]

Not too much happened today. I spent most of the afternoon playing Neverwinter Nights with Laz, MJO, Werdna, and GoofyBoy. This campaign went much better. It was shorter, and we didn't die as often. Wait.. we didn't die! That was the best part! (Except that MJO's machine crashed which was worse than dying, but still..)

Anyway, hopefully we'll do better next week.

I'm downloading the updated version of Linux for my system. hopefully I have enough space to install it. (I really don't need that much for what this thing does really. It's not like I'm planning to run a UT2003 server on it or anything.) Speaking of which, I downloaded the UT2003 demo today. I doubt I'll be installing it, but I figured that I might as well get myself a copy..

My room is such a mess. Well, it LOOKS clean, but everything's not where it should be. (i.e. on the floor.) Okay, time for bed.
