[3:50 PM EST - It's over already?]

The thing about long weekends that annoy me is that they're too short! *shakes fist*

I don't have anything planned for tonight, so I hope I'll be able to finally finish my site updates. It's taking a lot longer than anticipated with all of those distractions and all. It's apparently supposed to snow tonight. This I gotta see.

[7:42 PM EST - All I wanted was a little gas.]

The car was running low on gas, but this was good timing because this was the point of the week where gas prices were lowest. So I took a different route home so that I could stop off at the gas station to fill up. As I passed by the station, I saw that it was packed with cars and I decided to head to the next station that was down the street. When I got there, I found the station eerily empty. I took a look at the price: 69.9 cents per litre. What the heck? Why was it so expensive here? I decided to turn back and go to the first gas station. I got there during a lull in the flow of vehicles and only had a few cars ahead of me. Unfortunately, all of the cars in the station had their fuel.. uh.. slots(?) on the left hand side. Mine was on the right. This meant that I had to wait in front of another car and hope they back out (unlikely) or let them pass by me.

So, that's what I did. I went around to the other side of the station, and waited until a car pulled out. I pulled into the spot and realized that the pump was too far away from me even if I pulled up bumber to bumper to the car in front. I decided to wait until that car moved out before parking. Well, the lady behind the wheel was NOT backing up, so I pulled out to let her out. Just as I was putting my car back into drive, two cars that were waiting behind her pulled right up behind her, taking over my spot! Argh! Didn't they see me there?!? Don't they understand that some cars need to pull in from the other side?!? (I would've waited behind them otherwise.)

Curse you left sided pumpers! *bangs hood*

I became a little more aggressive after that and took the next available spot.

Anyhoo, after filling up, I tried to make a difficult left-handed turn back onto the street. It's doable only because the two traffic lights that flank the station will go red at the same time. This blocks off traffic from both approaches and allows any unfortunate left turners (like me) a temporary respite. Because the street was a busy thruoughfare, I had to wait a long time for my red lights. *eyes growing line up behind car* But, if you're patient enough, just about anything will come to you right? The red lights ame, and I waited for the last cars to pass before pulling out..

That's when the minivan stopped in front of me. Wha..? Hey! How the heck am I supposed to get out now? At least the car in the other lane actually stopped early enough to give me space to move out. There was no way the minivan was going forward, and now there was no way for him to back up because there was traffic behind him. Argh! No problem, I'd just wait until the light goes green. The moment the minivan goes, I have a window of opportunity to pull out. So I waited, and the green light came. The van began to move, I began to pull out, and as the van cleared from my vision, I saw ANOTHER car behind him who was trying to turn left into my entrance! *sits and stares for a few moments*

<- flips turn signal to point right.

[11:08 PM EST - Thank you John Crapper!]

I would've finished all of my entries, but a certain toilet needed unplugging. It had gotten plugged a couple of days ago, and standard plunger and snake techniques weren't working, so tonight, the toilet came out. Yummy.

Much water pouring and flipping later, all we got out of it were bits of toilet paper. The toilet seemed to flush properly, and the drain looked fine. Confused, cold (we were outside), and tired, we began to bring the toilet back in, when we heard a *clunk*. That came from the toilet. We flipped the toilet around and there was another *clunk*. Hey..! After some toilet rotations and fancy maneuvering, out popped a glass bottle. Well, I'll be! It's one of those fragrance bottles that we had in the washroom. So that's where it went! No wonder why we couldn't snake through! Ah well, now we have to put the darned thing back.. *looks at clock*
