[Wednesday, August 21, 2002: Climbing it again.]

I wanted to wake up early and make it down to the tower sometime around 8:30 so that we could get there at a reasonable time in the morning yet still be early enough so that the air wasn't pungent in the stairwell. Things went pretty well, despite taking forever to wake up VW.

We arrived downtown and hooked up with Dangerman when we got to the tower. While I was getting ready to register, I saw Jules and some of her friends (We were supposed to meet up with them and go up together.) so we chatted it up before I got back in line. I was a little surprised to see OMok sauntering towards me as I was getting my stuff checked in. He had apparently come and finished the climb already and was heading back. I was more surprised to recognize Stripes standing by one of the windows. He didn't see me, so I went up to them and stood next to Stripes until he noticed me. After a minute, he gave me the WTF are you doing here look and then recognized who I was. This was the first time for that guy. I never did bump into him on the way up so I don't know how he did. I'll ask the next time I see him.

As we went through the skywalk, I passed by someone who looked like JY. I called out her name but she didn't turn around. I never did get a good look at her face so I could've been wrong..

After we got out of the skywalk, girl recognized someone coming up the other way. It was Raishe Al-Ghoul! I hadn't seen that boy in a long, long, LONG time. We chatted it up for a while before heading to the tower.

I was the last of our group to get onto the stiars, but I quickly caught up with VW and girl, and then passed by Dangerman. But I never did catch up with JW. That boy is in pretty good shape. We hung around at the top for a little while but our stay was cut short when one of the climbers got sick in the middle of the foyer. We (and just about everyone else) quickly took the elevator down.

After the climb, we went to the Air Canada Centre to see if we could get a tour of the building that morning. girl had heard that they offered tours during the day and wanted to take JW and VW out to one. Since it wasn't far from the CN Tower, we walked. When we arrived at the ACC, we noticed that the place was deserted, with only one ticket kiosk open. girl inquired about the tours and was told that they don't hold tours if there was a game being held that afternoon. What? Sucky. We were left with nothing else to do but to go out and have (an early) lunch.

We had planned to met up with JW and go to the Green Mango for lunch. Since we didn't have the tour, we would be arriving before JW would get there. That was no problem. Unfortunately, when we got there, the restaurant was closed. It didn't open until.. eleven was it? Anyway, we got there with half-an-hour to spare. THere wasn't much around there to do but we did some shopping and snooped around to pass the time.

The food was quite good and the prices were reasonable and JW came by just as we started to eat.

We headed back uptown, but didn't have anything better to do. We had to drop off JW at home before we went to the Woo's place where we met up with AJ and KarmicMayan. We went out for dessert where KarmicMayan and I shared a huge chocolate brownie crepe type dish. We also had a chocolate milkshake each and and a drinking contest to see who could finish it off. (Neither of us could, there was way too much food.) We went to watch "Changing Lanes" afterward on JW's recomendation. It was okay, but the most entertaining part was seeing VW sleeping through the whole movie.

I had an ice hockey game afterward, and was fortunate that the game started soon after the movie ended (as opposed to during the movie). So as soon as we left the theatre, I headed off for a good game of ice hockey. (It was so good I can't remember what happened!)
