[10:22 AM EST - I had a great line but..]

Too bad my brain isn't fast enough most days to produce comprehensible english realtime. Other times it doesn't have enough storage to bring back good lines I came up with before any triggering event. Grr..

Maybe I'll just veg.

[3:22 PM EST - Time to switch jackets.]

Oi. I was walking around outside for a few minutes and it got really hot in that winter jacket. I wonder if I gave myself a heat rash? *looks at arms*

Oh, I came by this quote while sifting through my sig list.

Behind all the political rhetoric being hurled at us from abroad, we are bringing home one unassailable fact -- [terrorism is] a crime by any civilized standard, committed against innocent people, away from the scene of political conflict, and must be dealt with as a crime...

[I]n our recognition of the nature of terrorism as a crime lies our best hope of dealing with it...

[L]et us use the tools that we have. Let us invoke the cooperation we have the right to expect around the world, and with that cooperation let us shrink the dark and dank areas of sanctuary until these cowardly marauders are held to answer as criminals in an open and public trial for the crimes they have committed, and receive the punishment they so richly deserve.

- William H. Webster, Director, Federal Bureau of Investigation, 15 Oct 1985

Funny how I didn't notice it.

[10:57 PM EST - Mars taxes.]

A ha! I finally finished doing my taxes. Too bad I don't have a stapler that can actually punch through all of this paper it printed out. I didn't expect so much! All I need now is to find an envelope to hold this stuff and a stapler to put it all together and away it'll go for my refund..

I finished reading through "The Case for Mars" and I must say that it is a very interesting read. It reminded me a lot of "Tunnel in the Sky", although Mars is a much less hospitable place. Still, if I had a chance to go, I'd definitely jump on the opportunity..

"There are a terrible lot of lies going around the world, and the worst of it is half of them are true."

Sir Winston Churchill (From The Quotations Page.)
